Yasoda

In Purana, Yasoda (Sanskrit: यशोदा) was wife of Nanda and foster-mother of, Krishna, who, according to the story was given to them by Vasudeva.
Yasoda also played an important role in the upbrinding of Balarama (the son of Rohini) and his sister Subhadra. She is also sometimes described as having her own daughter, known asEkānaṅgā.
