Yash Pal Ghai

Yash Pal Ghai (born 1938) was the Chairman of the Constitution of Kenya Review Commission (which attempted to write a modern constitution for Kenya) from 2000 to 2004.

As of 2005, he has returned to his previous position as a professor of law at the University of Hong Kong.

Prior to that post, Ghai also taught and did research in law at the University of Warwick, Uppsala University in Sweden, the International Legal Center in New York, and Yale Law School.

Ghai has written several books on law in Africa, on Pacific islands, and elsewhere.
