Yao Chong

Yao Chong (姚崇) (649 - 721), was a statesman of the Tang Dynasty. He twice served as the post of Chancellor under Empress Wu and Emperor Xuanzong.
He also served as the Minister of Military under Empress Wu, Emperor Ruizong and Emperor Xuanzong. He was once dismissed by Ruizong in 712, but was recalled by Xuanzong again in 713.
After his resignation in 716, he still had great influence inside the departments of the imperial government, he sometimes affected the decisions of the emperor and his successor, Song Jing.
