Yangon Institute of Economics, () is the first institution in Myanmar to offer degrees in Economics and Business studies. It was established in 1964 and now, it is home to Yangon citizens to study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A four years courses will qualify to a Bachelor of Economics in three main titles of B.Econ (Commerce), B.Econ (Statistics) and B.Econ (Economics). MBA course was conducted in the 1995.
