[edit] Story

A Kung Fu expert from Hong Kong. With his twin brother Yun, he entered the third World Warrior tournament to show his skills. They later found and fought Gill, who appreciated their effort and granted them leadership of their town. They passionately turned down his offer, since they only fought him to stop his maniacal plans.

[edit] Trivia

  • Yang's fighting style is based on Gen's Mantis Style.
  • In the original Street Fighter III, Yang was originally a version of Yun who was only selectable as an alternative color palette. After 2nd Impact, the two became separate characters and Yang's fighting style began to deviate from Yun's.
  • Yang and Yun were placed under Gen's care after their parents died. They refer to him as grandfather, although there is no blood relation. Gen would more appropriately be their master as they learned heavily from him. The restaurant that they work in belongs to him.
  • Between the two brothers, Yang is the quiet, brooding one. He enjoys in-line skating. He has a crush on Yun's girlfriend Houmei, but out of respect for them he doesn't say anything - also, Houmei's sister Shaomei has a crush on Yang himself.
