Yanaul

Yanaul (Russian: Янаул; Bashkir: Янауыл) is a town in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, located on the Yanaulka River, 230 km north of Ufa. It is the administrative center of Yanaulsky District. Population: 27,909 (2002 Census); 25,727 (1989 Census).
A settlement in place of the modern town has been known to exist since the first half of the 18th century. It received town status in 1991.
