Yan Yan (嚴顏) was a brave and loyal general under Liu Zhang during the Three Kingdoms Period in Chinese history. He was later captured by Zhang Fei after being defeated by him, but refused to submit to Zhang. Zhang became impressed with his bravery and honoured him as a faithful subject of Liu Zhang. Eventually, Zhang was able to persuade Yan to join Zhang's lord and friend Liu Bei.

Yan Yan is not to be confused with Wei Yan, another general of Shu.
