Yame (八女市; -shi) is a city located in Fukuoka, Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 39,372 and the density of 1,000.81 persons per km². The total area is 39.34 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1954. Yame natives include Takafumi Horie known as "Horiemon".

The city has already absorbed the town of Joyo from Yame District on October 1. 2006.
