Yamada, Chiba

Yamada (山田町; -machi) is a town located in Katori District, Chiba, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 11,017 and a density of 213.76 persons per km². The total area is 51.54 km².

On March 27, 2006, Yamada and the towns of Omigawa and Kurimoto from Katori District merged with the city of Sawara to form the new city of Katori.
