Yakusoku wa Iranai (約束はいらない Promises not Necessary?) is the debut single of Japanese singer Maaya Sakamoto and also the Japanese-language opening theme to the anime series The Vision of Escaflowne. Maaya Sakamoto did the voice of Hitomi Kanzaki from the anime series.
A more poetic translation of the name could be "I Don't Need a Promise" or "Promises Not Necessary."
