Yahya Birt

Born in 1968, Yahya Birt is a writer and researcher. His focus includes academic and policy work, journalism and book reviews, chiefly on British Muslims. Yahya Birt works as a research fellow at The Islamic Foundation in Leicestershire. He is also a Contributing Editor to the Muslim World Book Review.
Other contributions include being a member of Islamica Magazine’s Editorial Board and an Advisor to the City Circle in London. He is also a regular contributor to Q News, the British Muslim magazine.
On the 7th of Novermber 2006, a london based community organisation, The City Circle, announced that it had appointed Yahya Birt as its first Director with effect from December 2006.
