YahELite

YahELite is a third-party Yahoo! chat program, created by David J. "DeepThawt" Binette. It differs slightly from the Yahoo! Instant Messenger(YIM) program in both appearance and function.

In appearance, YahElite is less appealing than YIM, with less colors, less rounded edges, and hardly any moving graphics. Most see this as a drawback, though it helps make YahElite a smaller program, memory-wise.
YahELite has a compendium of functions and options that YIM lacks, such as:
- enhanced anti-spam options
- less overall bootability, with 'chat armour' option for increased boot protection
- automatic malicious chatterbot filter, known as Wildcard ignore
- the option of chosing your own port and server
- customizable colors, sizes, font styles, and backgrounds
- privacy options
