Yachiyo, Chiba

Yachiyo (八千代市; -shi) is a city located in Chiba, Japan.
As of September 2006, the city has an estimated population of 185,736 and the density of 3,622.7 persons per km². The total area is 51.27 km².
The city has several railway stations, including Keisei Yachiyodai on the Keisei Main Line from Narita Airport to Ueno, Yachiyo Chūō and Yachiyo Midorigaoka stations.
It is the sister city of Tyler, Texas, USA.
The city was founded on January 1, 1967.
