Yabeinosaurus is an extinct genus of lizard thought to be about 30 cm (12 inches) long.
Yabeinosaurus is thought to have been an ancestor of the modern geckos. It had a large, bony head, with large eyes. This could indicate it was nocturnal. It is unknown whether Yabeinosaurus was also able to walk on vertical surfaces, like modern geckos. The Yabeinosaurus was found, or thought to be found in modern Europe and China, which was the area that the fossils had been found in. A close relative of Yabeinosaurus is Ardeosaurus, after whom the family is named.
