[edit] Wikimedia UK
You have expressed an interest in Wikimedia UK. Just to let you know I've posted a draft Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association of the proposed "Wikimedia UK" charitable company on Wikimedia UK/Memorandum of Association and Wikimedia UK/Articles of Association. It is proposed that these will receive initial approval by interested parties at a meeting on 27 November. I will put together a brief agenda for the more formal aspects of that meeting soon. Memo and Arts of Association are a company's constitution, and need to be agreed before the company is formed (though they can be changed at a later date). Please feel free to comment on the relevant talk pages (I'd rather the proposed drafts are left unedited so that it is easy to see what is going on) - particularly if there is something there that you would disagree with at the meeting, details of which can be found on the Wikimedia UK page on Wikimedia Meta-Wiki. Kind regards, jguk 19:17, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Template:UKIceHockey team creating dabs to Unknown
I'm cleaning up disambig links to Unknown, and Template:UKIceHockey team is putting automatic links for the Head Coach line, and when the Head Coach is Unknown, this creates a link to the Unknown page. I'm trying to clean these links up, but can't without modifying the template, or changing the few entries: Durham Wasps, Telford Wild Foxes, Peterborough Pirates, Paisley Pirates, Streatham Redskins, Murrayfield Racers. Any suggestions how to resolve this? (forgot to sign) Simon12 15:56, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- Your solution is the best way to go. Thanks. Simon12 13:09, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] About the NME covers
The rules of Wikipedia are extremely unclear ("to illustrate the publication of the issue of the magazine in question"), but magazine covers are only allowed if the magazine is discussed in the document. So you can use them but you need to talk about the magazine in the page itself, so All Saints (band) needs to contain a story about the interview in NME magazine. I see that you uploaded loads of covers, so it'll be pretty hard, but if you don't then there is a high likelyhood that the image will be deleted once more. KittenKlub 20:18, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RTE transmitters
Hi, thanks for adding the transmitters to the articles on RTE 1, RTE 2, TV3 and TG4. However, these are just the main sites, the article as RTÉ Network Limited lists the full transmitter load - about 100 more for 1/2/4 and just two more for TV3. It might be best not to have duplicated content. The RTENL article details what tx's carry them digitally, too. --Kiand 19:11, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
- The Cairn Hill entry in the RTÉNL article links to Carn Clonhugh already doesn't it? However, it seems I mis-attributed the addition of the sections to you, I didn't check the history properly... oops, sorry. The sections were added by a different user, I see all you were doing is adding links - which should be there for all the Tx's that have articles, so ignore what I said. --Kiand 21:53, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikify tags
I agree with what you are posting, but some of the articles that you are trying to "Wikify" are articles that need to be flatly deleted. Please post {{db-empty}} or {{db-bio}} for these articles.
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:NME TheWonderStuff.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:NME TheWonderStuff.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Yamla 21:32, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:BasketBrawlboxscan.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:BasketBrawlboxscan.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Panellist
Panellist has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this is more a dictionary definition than an encyclopedia article. Please review Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a dictionary for the relevant policy. If you can expand the article to address these concerns, please do so, or explain your plans on the talk page.
If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod notice, the deletion process will stop, but if an editor is still not satisfied that the article meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for consensus. [edit] AfD Nomination: Guildford Transmitter
I've nominated the article Guildford Transmitter for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Guildford Transmitter satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brecon VHF-transmitter. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Guildford Transmitter during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. --tgheretford (talk) 13:43, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Rock music invitation
Hello WikiProject Alternative music member.
WikiProject Alternative music, in my eyes, has proved to be successful "improving the encyclopaedic coverage of articles relating to alternative rock", and improving their quality as well. One specific example I have witnessed is The Smashing Pumpkins article. The page has gone from a mediocre work, to GA status, to FA nomination. Only appropriate, as the Pumpkins are undeniably one of the most influential alternative rock bands on the 1990's and beyond.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently ressurected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and not only be a member of alternative Wikipedians, but the rockin' ones as well.
Rock on.
