xzgv is an image viewer for X Window System that incorporates a thumbnail-based file selector. It is based on GTK+ and Imlib 1.x. Most file formats are supported, and the thumbnails used are compatible with xv, zgv, and GIMP. xzgv differs from other viewers in that it uses one window for both the file selector and viewer. Additionally, it's known as one of the fastest lightweight image viewers available, and the largest list of compatible formats for its size and level of performance. It seems to also be currently unmaintained, as the last update by the author is dated December 15, 2004 in the form of a security patch.
