Xykogen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Xykogen is a UK techno-industrial/EBM band signed to Wasp Factory Recordings.
Xykogen was first established in 2004 by Amon Zero, formerly the vocalist of UK cyberpunk band Arkam Asylum (now an experimental DJ outfit known as Arkasai). The full live lineup formed at the beginning of 2006, with the release of the Mutate and Survive EP. The Xykogen group is currently based in London.
Xykogen have performed at the Whitby Gothic Weekend, and have been linked to the emerging UK Futurepunk scene since playing the FUTUREPUNK23 gig in London, November 2006.
The word "xykogen" is a neologism coined by Amon Zero in 2004, meaning any object or process which creates or influences minds.
