Xutos & Pontapés is a rock band from Portugal. They are regarded as one of the most famous Portuguese rock acts of all times, enjoying a big success in their home country.

The band was founded in 1978 under the influence of the punk rock scene and is still very successful today, after more than a dozen studio and live albums. Their tracks are a blend of punk, progressive rock, country and Portuguese folk. They have also experimented with other genres in the early 80s, including electro pop.

In 2004 the band was awarded a state decoration by the Portuguese President Jorge Sampaio, for their 25-year long career achievement. Current members are: Tim (bass/vocals), Zé Pedro (rhythm guitar), João Cabeleira (solo guitar) and Kalú (drums). The saxophone player Gui is frequently credited with the band.

They are often called the "Portuguese Rolling Stones", not only because of their history, but also because the guitarist Zé Pedro resembles Keith Richards physically.
