XTSR, formerly WTSR, is a radio station on Channel 42 on the Towson University campus television system. It is student-Run and plays mainstream rock music.
At the station, students learn about the basics of radio. This includes using such universal tools as a program log, a music log and developing a basis for radio performance. XTSR plays alternative, punk and modern rock. Their music library includes popular rock as well as local and underground acts. They also have contacts with most major and independent music labels.
The name was changed to XTSR (from WTSR) because The College of New Jersey won the bid to have that name on their station.
