XMap is an affordable GIS mapping software from DeLorme. The main feature setting XMap apart from competitive products is its ease of use. No training is required to achieve full GIS functionality including GIS layering, geospatial querying, buffer zone querying, COGO input, Topological Editing and interoperability with standard industry file formats inluding ESRI shape files. DeLorme provides supplementary GIS datasets such as aerial photography, USGS 7.5 Quad maps or street and topographic maps of the USA. Imagery is downloadable through the software's NetLink web portal. Delorme also offers a variety of GPS receivers. [1]
