[edit] Merging and cleanup

At present this article appears to have been merged with OICW and XM29 SABR; has this been completed, and what about a cleanup? - Alphax 01:57, Oct 5, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Merge/Edit complete

Merge with OICW and XM-29 SABR done. I consider this one a done deal. Any objections to the section organization/merge are welcome. The efficiency/cost section could use some attention from specialists/enthusiasts. --Phils 15:50, 18 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Excellent. More info when it comes into service, I guess. -- Alphax 23:30, Oct 19, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Title

Officially, XM29 is not supposed to have a dash in it. Any objection to me changing the name of the article? I'll leave this question for a little while before I do it. Chuck 00:45, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] OISW?

i thought i heard something about an OISW (objective infantry support weapon) somewhere... ring any bells?

You are thinking of the XM307 OCSW (Objective Crew Served Weapon), which has been renamed the ACSW (Advanced Crew Served Weapon).D.E. Watters 02:32, Jun 6, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] copyright issues

I happened to notice that a large portion of the text in the article (which appeared with the 5th or 6th version) seems to be copied directly from the following website: http://world.guns.ru/assault/as40-e.htm I am not sure which came first, but the author of the website posts a copyright notice on his page, and if we are infringing, the article should probably be rewritten.

If someone things it is appropriate to email him asking who the text originally belonged to, his email, from the site is this: mailto:mpopenker@hotmail.ru Blazotron 00:15, 13 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] XM-8 and XM-25

I believe that this page deserves the information that the XM29 is to have both componets designed into their own weapons the XM-8 Rifle (the rifle component) and the XM-25 Grenade launcher (although its grenades have been upped to 25mm from 20mm). Division of program resulting for action in 2004.
