[edit] Do not delete my link
Xiaolin wiki is new and needs users so do not delete it,s external link Djf2014 16:01, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- Please see Wikipedia's policy on external links. Your statement shows that you are advertising, which is a form of vandalism. Ryūlóng 20:43, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- In fact, several of the pages at that wiki are directly copied and pasted from the English Wikipedia. That violates the GDFL. Ryūlóng 07:36, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
GDFL? And I Edited them. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Djf2014 (talk • contribs).
- The GDFL is the license that allows Wikipedia to use its content. Unless you link the original articles on Wikipedia on the fan wiki, then the content should be removed from your wiki. Ryūlóng 21:24, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
How do i do that im a kid Djf2014 21:43, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
also My wiki does not sell products. Djf2014 21:48, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter. You have to give credit to the editors of Wikipedia's articles that you directly copied and pasted from Wikipedia to your fansite. Do so by linking the Wikipedia articles the same way you linked your website to this article. If you do not give credit to the Wikipedia editors then it is a copyright violation. Ryūlóng 21:52, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Ill Try to make a template. But one Question how do I make a template? Djf2014 15:50, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- You don't need to make a template. Just copy the link to any Wikipedia page, and put it between [ and ] maybe give it a link to say "Wikipedia's page on..." whatever the page is for. No template necessary. Ryūlóng 20:25, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fourth Season
hey i hear that season four was announced is it true cus if it is you need to alter the season four section or delete it User:Hunter132 12:52, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- Can you give a source to the season four announcement? As of now, there does not appear to be any information on a fourth season. If the new CW states that there will be a new episode of Xiaolin Showdown, then we will change the article to reflect that. Ryūlóng 20:41, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
yes i saw it on toywiz go to http://www.toywiz.com/ and scroll down til you see other categories it is alphabetical order so Xiaolin Showdown should be at the bottom click on it and up top on an ad bar it might say that it depends User:Hunter132 18:01, 11 August 2006
- I can see that you are referring to this. Yes, it does appear that they may create a new season after all. I will add this into the article. Ryūlóng 01:03, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
That old from season 3 look at the date of the first episode of of season 3 and the date on that images
that may be but i still have more proof go to http://www.tv.com/ and type in Xiaolin Showdown scroll down some you should see a link that says episode list or something click it and you can go to season four User:Hunter132 19:24, 12 August 2006
- But season four's entry is empty on tv.com, and it is editted like Wikipedia, by anyone (who registers). Ryūlóng 03:11, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
click on TBA it says coming soon which may confirm a fourth season
Before anyone begins to think that there most definitely won't be a new season, consider this fact: Postopia.com added a new Xiaolin Showdown game on its website (possible reason) and little info on two new Shen-Gong-Wu (the Fifi-Xiaogo & the Genie Moo) and had a new picture of a new Jack-bot! Considering this is a "real" website the information should/has to be completely true.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.111.145.96 (talk • contribs).
- We won't know anything definitive for another couple of weeks, if anything at all. Ryūlóng 06:19, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, guys, but one person who was on the show, said that Xiaolin Showdown is out of production. http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=80725 --Erased Paper 10:30, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
The episode airing on September 23 is Sizing Up Omi. However, they might start season four later on.
If you read the forum above, they said if fans pitch in for Xiaolin Showdown items such as dvds, they might consider a fourth season and they also said the shoe became a hit on Cartoon Network. Also, Teen Titans passed their fourth season which contained 52 episodes. Even if the show doesn't return to Kids WB, there's always Cartoon Network as the ratings have increased there. That's when I first watched it, because I thought it was silly at first when airing on WB. - BJ
I have successifully contacted WB about there being a fourth season or not. I recived an email from a one Gwen Moore(KPLR). This person contacted the adminastraters and they said "The show (Xiaolin Showdown) has been laid to rest." Which means the show's adminastration (Producer/creater/director/whoever) decided to end the production of the series eventhough CW wanted another season. Sorry guys and gals, but sadly this means Xiaolin Showdown is done...unless some third party producer desides to pick it up were it left off, kindof like what they did to Scooby Doo. So it might take 30-40 years, but it could come back! - Steven Kraml
[edit] Fan theories
Please do not add information to the article based on your personal interpretation of the show, or things you've heard other fans say. This is original research and is not allowed in Wikipedia. This means no talking about stories that could have been written, unless you can source one of the series writers or producers. Just remeber this is an encyclopedia, not a fan site. [edit] "New" episodes on Cartoon Network
I keep seeing this get added to the article, but it isn't true. Check the TV Guide listings and you'll see the episode airing Monday is Oil in the Family. I don't know why CN is calling them new, but they are not. Jay32183 19:44, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Because their new to Cartoon Network Goodgirldv9898 10:54 28 Janruary 2007
- Cartoon Network isn't airing any new episodes anymore. This should be modified or removed now.--69.214.1.75 00:19, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Showdown Types
I'm seeing a separate article at the bottom of the page for "Shen Yi Bu Dare", which kinda bothers me. Shouldn't we have a page that maps out the types of Showdowns and possible the rules associated with each one? I'm talking about varients like Shen Yi Bu Dare, Showdown Trio, 8-way Showdown, etc. There are also side rules that can be included, such as playing against someone who is made up of more than half Wu. 68.228.38.225 05:06, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

- In this case, make a section somewhere on this page for that :)—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 05:31, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Clean-up
This article needs a lot of work. We need to add details on the development and reception of the series. We need to make this not read like a fan guide, which probably means the list of techniques needs to go. The plot summary needs to be cleaned up so it doesn't read like a recount of history. Lots of references would be good too. Jay32183 07:24, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- I have restructured the article to more closely fit Wikipedia standards of organization, cleaned up some sections (like the lead paragraph) and added some information on cultural references outside the series. Hewinsj 18:49, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- I've been doing some good with the article, just not sure what to do with the "mystical elements" section. Some of it might be worth keeping but it mostly looks like fancruft which is frowned upon. Hewinsj 15:23, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think you're right. We may want to bring in some one who is unfamiliar with the series to see what a non-fan thinks of that sections importance. Jay32183 18:57, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sorry
I made a page by accident entitled Xiolin Showdown. I misspelled Xiaolin and created the page. Please visit. --Mikemoral
