XHAS (Channel 33), commonly identified on the air as "XHAS" and "Telemundo 33", is the Telemundo-affiliated television station, licensed to Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, with studios and offices in San Diego, California. The station is owned and operated by Entravision, with its Mexican transmitter and license owned by a Mexican company. The station broadcasts two local newscasts a day at 6 p.m. and at 11 p.m.. Ironically, it competes with its Univision sister station KBNT-CA for news at the same time. They both broadcast out of the same building in Kearny Mesa. XHAS focuses their news more on the issues affecting Tijuana (competing against locally-programmed XEWT-TV) while KBNT focuses more on San Diego. XHAS offers Spanish-language coverage of San Diego Padres games on Sundays, with KBOP-CA, "Mi San Diego TV 43", showing the games on Fridays and Saturdays.
Unlike other Tijuana-based stations aimed towards San Diego, XHAS has an FCC-licensed repeater, KTCD-LP channel 46, located in San Diego and wholly owned by Entravision.
