XESURF-AM is a Mexican-licensed radio station, known on air as Go Country 105, and simulcasts most of its programming in English with Los Angeles radio station KKGO. The transmitter site is located near the toll-road to the west of Tijuana, Mexico. The ownership of the AM station remains with a Mexico based company, Mount Wilson Broadcasting has the broadcast rights.

In October 2006, Mount Wilson Broadcasting made a format change to 540 AM; it was changed to a Country music format, filling a void left by the now defunct KZLA. Many of the air personalities heard on Go Country 105 are from the former KZLA-Los Angeles. AM 540's signal is heard throughout much of Southern California, including the San Diego and Los Angeles metropolitan areas. XESURF is not the only station in the San Diego/Tijuana area that broadcasts country music--Clear Channel Communications-owned KUSS 95.7 and Lincoln Financial Media's KSON-FM 97.3/KSOQ 92.1, also broadcast the format from San Diego, California.

Back in the 1940s, 540 kHz was home to KFMB. When KFMB moved up the dial to 760 kHz the government broadcast authorities in the U.S. and Mexico reserved 540 kHz for a Mexico-based radio station.

Unlike 1260AM in Los Angeles, 540AM did not change its format on February 26, 2007.

XESURF is the San Diego-area affiliate of NASCAR racing through the Motor Racing Network and the Performance Racing Network.
