I am a physics grad student at Columbia University studying lattice gauge theory. Particularly, I work out matrix elements of the weak interaction, even more particularly, the kaon bag parameter (BK), which is proportional to the amount of indirect CP violation in the Standard Model. Knowing this quantity allows us to connect experimental data to CKM matrix elements, such as in the unitarity triangle.
I am also an administrator at Advanced Physics Forums.
