Xerces Blue butterfly
This species of butterfly is extinct, hence the photos exist only in exhibits. This photo has been taken from http://www.mip.berkeley.edu/essig/endins/xerces.htm and belongs to Essig Museum of Entomology, University of California, Berkeley. The photo has been reproduced on Wikipedia with the museum's permission.
