XEPE-AM or Cash 1700 signed on mid-August 2005. It carries business talk programming in English aimed at San Diego.

XEPE's U.S. programming and sales rights are owned by the same company which operates XEPRS-AM (1090 kHz, XX Sports Radio) / XHBCE (FM 105.7, XX Sports Radio), with studios and offices in the San Diego community of La Jolla. Most of the station's programming pertains to money and the stock market, with nighttime programming consisting of CNN Headline News audio. Cash 1700 is the San Diego home of talkshow host Ray Lucia.

[edit] Sports rights

Cash 1700 is the official radio home of the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer and the Lake Elsinore Storm minor league baseball team. The station has also aired basketball games of both San Diego State University and the University of San Diego.

Until XX Sports Radio's FM signal (XHBCE 105.7) started broadcasting, AM 1700 also carried some San Diego Padres games, primarily to cover parts of eastern San Diego County.
