XennoBB is a free Internet bulletin board written in the PHP scripting language and based on PunBB. To store its data, XennoBB relies on MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite, and it is licensed under the GNU General Public License.

XennoBB's main goal is to be faster, safer, user-friendly, and not bloated by a large number of rarely-used features as in a number of Bulletin Boards.

The name XennoBB comes from xenobiology, which is the SF term for the science who studies extra-terrestrial life. The idea is that XennoBB is an extra-terrestrial (out-of-the-ordinary) bulletin board.
