Xavier Bertrand

Xavier Bertrand (born March 21, 1965 in Châlons-sur-Marne, Marne) is a French politician. He is a member of the UMP party.

On June 16, 2002 he was elected deputy (2002-2007). On March 31, 2004, he was chosen Secretary of State for the health insurance (junior minister for health) in the third government of Jean-Pierre Raffarin and on June 2, 2005 he rose to the senior position of Minister of Health in the first government of Dominique de Villepin.
