Xander Michiel Beute

Xander Michiel Beute was born in 1975, at Gouda. He made his debut in 1999, as a novelist with on his own experience based tale: "Nachtvoorstelling". The readers of "Nactvoorstelling" priced the book, and Beute got much attention from the media. Beute was invited for a lot of radio talkshows - and tv-program's as 'Laat de leeuw', 'Ontbijt-tv' and 'Jong'.

When Beute was 17, after an evening going out in Gouda he was beaten up publicly by a group of drunk men. The book "Nachtvoorstelling" was based on those experiences.

In 2000, Beute interviewed people with his editor "Geurt van de Kerk" people for the bundel "People Asked!" concerning meaninglessly violence. "People asked!" the topic made meaningless violence readable by the intensive conversations which Beute had with victims and surviving dependants.

The period afterwards gave workshops Beute, wrote his second novel, read on special reading nights. Also he studied at the college of Utrecht (secondary teacher training in Dutch).

His second novel, "Hinkelenb met god", appeared in 2001. This time his book was realised fiction. The presentation of the book was looked after in café "Hofman" (Utrecht) by "Paul de Leeuw". Among other things the Volkskrant, Trouw and Utechts Dagblad gave attention on the book.

In 2002, Beute graduated to the college and moved he to The Hague, there to work as a teacher Dutch. He at the Christian gymnasium Sorghvliet. Also he is columnist for U-Blad (university Utrecht), he had a column in Trouw and tales in Tzum, Passionate and lava.

Beute married on 7 July 2006 with Suzanne, his youth love with which he had already had a relationship with when he was 15. That relation was ended but after a few years they met again and the spark ignited (definitely).
