[edit] Editing bios

Thanks for you work on some ppl i have been meaning to get around editing for a while (Alice Eve has gone too long without a page!). But, may i recommed the Manual of Style (biographies)? I only just bothered to check out all that stuff they welcome you with recently - i was getting by by copying the formats i noticed on established pages - but it was great to find out how articles are "meant" to be structured etc. Good luck Amo 21:06, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Source

Incidentally, do you have a source to support Spall and Eve living together? Amo 21:52, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

I do actually have a source for them living together - it was stated in an interview with Alice in ES magazine, September 23rd 2005 - so does that help?

I can't exactly prove it, apart from i own the magazine, so...

I can quote it if that helps...?

Conicidently, how do you know of them together? This interview was how I found out.

And sorry, I didn't know where to post this, in your user talk or mine, so have both! X pure evil x 18:30, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

I've just spent minutes (lol!) trying to work out what you're talking about, but i do vaguely remember disliking the "dating and living with" in his article a while ago - did i change it?, cos its still in there now. I hdan't remembered leaving this message at all! But yeah, last i heard they were still together. it was first mentioned in an interview he did for Knight of the Burning Pestle in late 2005 - they were still looking for a place, he said in Chelsea. Then they showed up for the Stoned premiere together. I don't especially have a problem with the way it's worded now, but if i do change it in the future, it'll be a stylistic thing - not a dig at your info, ok? Btw the ES interview was online until very recently, so i've read it. it was called "alice's adventures" right? Amo 19:51, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, it was, + no worries about the dating/living together thing, it was my first change EVER so I wasn't thinking lol. Also, I saw Alice in 'Rock 'n' Roll' last night - she was amazing. Am I writing this in the right place? X pure evil x 15:04, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alice Eve

Cool, then as it wasn't a huge considered move on your part, i might try and come up with a better wording. As for discussions over user talkpages, it is difficult and there is no consensus. I think it's best to post on the other persons page every time, cos then they get a "new messages" message. But then again sometimes i get confused... Some people state on thier user page how they participate in discussion eg "if you leave me a message i will reply here". I'm glad you enjoyed Rock'n'Roll. I'm moving to London in a couple of months, so I'm planning to take my new flatmate as a treat. What else have you seen AE in? Amo 20:17, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

The Beethoven thing was broadcast as a 3-parter entitled simply "Beethoven" in June 2005. The documentary side was done by Charles Hazlewood, and Beethoven was played by Paul Rhys. AE played Countess Giulietta Guicciardi. The BBC site has a page here. So what was AE like in Poirot? Who was her character? Did she get much screen time? Amo 22:07, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

I don't think it is online anymore, no. He jut mentioned that they met on "the rotter's club", that they were blissfully happy, and that they were looking for somewhere to live together in Chelsea (because that was where she was raised). So what was her hair like in Poirot? Was it a wig?Amo 12:42, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lycos and pictures

To answer your question on IMDb, Lycos is this, and this is what they have to say about Starter For Ten. I don't "have" any pics of AE. There are loads on the web, obv but i know nothing about pictures on Wikipedia. Apparently the info is here: Wikipedia:Picture tutorial. Amo 01:24, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Eve/Spall

Out of interest, had it occurred to you that they might not be together anymore. there's not really any reason to think that, but the last (and first!) pictures of them together were from that premiere back in November - when i suppose they had just moved in together. Amo 00:41, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

link for pics: [1]. NB not all of the events listed actually have pics of her - some are just other ppl with similar names. Amo 00:13, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

OHMYGOD - ALLCHANGE. Okay, so this only broke yesterday (and it's only a rumour blah blah blah) but i can't believe i missed this: [2]. Wow. Amo 00:40, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AE and rufus sewell

Yep, i think it's prob true. i mean, the article kind of shoots itself in the foot by mentioning a kiss merely on the cheek (hardly proof...!), but i've been wondering whether perhaps that was because the article was accompanied by a pic of them doing just that. Also, Rafe Spall's myspace lists him as single, and messages left back in march enquire after his broken heart. Amo 01:54, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Did you buy it on ebay? can u send me scans? i think he is 23. i think he was born in 83, at least that's what wikipedia says. Amo 22:02, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rowing

check out this pic of Alice when she did rowing (i think) at oxfod uni!: [3]

[edit] Mags

Well, i bought a copy of that ES magazine, cos i haven't seen the pics. but i couldn't see anything else come up under her name on ebay. It's really wierd - what was she even promoting when that article came out? just herself? random... I was wondering - are you a techy person? have you ever thought of starting an AE site? Amo 11:53, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

ES magazine = the evening standard magazine that you added the quote to her article from. I had only read the interview online. As for fansites, i am rubbish too (Wikipedia is about the most advanced thing i can do on a computer), but if someone's going to do one, i'd probably send them info or point them in the direction of this article. Amo 00:18, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] new ES mag

OMG! - it turned out that the mag i bought on ebay, was in fact a new interview she had done for ES, dated 21st July 2006! Did she do a photoshoot for the first one? There are some lovely pics here. Unfortunately I'm beginning to think i don't really like her. I mean, she's given some very impressive, nuanced and very charming performances, but i really dislike her attitude. Kind of like Kate Hudson - perfect in Almost Famous, yet one of the most abhorrent people i have ever encountered in all other media and in her other performances. Anyway, would you like the scans/ transcript from this new interview? i could email them. basically she reveals: she was down to the last two for Grace in The Horse Whisperer (no exactly true - i can explain another time) and that she is back living with her parents since breaking up with RS. Amo 17:04, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Oh, then it seems that the version of the old ES interview that i read online was not the complete print version. is there any chance you could email me the scan/transcript? i would be happy to reciprocate with the newer feature. Amo 20:43, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Wow, it would be great if you could type that up. whenever you can... BTW there's a still (the first one i've seen) from starter for ten) in the latest issue of Empire. pretty boring - basically EA looking exactly like herself standing behind james mcavoy, next to rebecca hall. Edit: there's more here, although curiously not the one in the mag. Amo 18:57, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Starter For Ten

Hello. I hope you're enjoying your holiday! I just finished reading Starter For Ten" and it's brilliant. I can't wait for the film. there are rumours that it'll be screened at the Toronto film festival, too. Have you seen the latest Rock 'n' Roll pics ? Is her underwear always showing...?Amo

Okay, then thanks for letting me know. Amo 00:20, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey, i found that RS interview i told you about from ages ago! It's here Amo 16:54, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AE on Richard and Judy

Can't believe i missed it! I've been trying to find out exactly when it was, and what she said, but i haven't had much luck yet. Tarty Doris have some screencaps here though. I reckon as she's in R'n'R, she'll be doing tv and magazine promotion. But then again, maybe that's why they pushed back the UK release date - she she's available to promote it. Amo 09:38, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

thanks so much for the link. i just got a new computer TODAY so i will FINALLY be able to watch videos online at a reasonable speed. i found a new profile of AE here.Amo 17:08, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alice Eve

Hey, i got a new magazine (from jan 2005) with an interview with Alice in it. She doesn't come across that well...again (sigh). but i thought you might like the details:

  • she got a 2:1
  • she didn't get the part in The Horse Whispere cos her breasts were too big.
  • her best freind died of an epileptic fit when she was 20.
  • when she gave the interview (nov/dec 2004) she was living at home.

Amo 11:29, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank you :D Im sure shes lovely.....:P X pure evil x 20:05, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

"Im sure shes lovely....." was that supposed to mean something? I'm lost... Anyway, there are some clips in which you can catch a glipse of AE in the rotters club on you tube here and here. Amo (sorrym this computer doesn't have the right key to sign off properly).

lol I meant that she doesn't come across well - i agree with you. perhaps its just because she's been brought up to be self-confident and self-posessed, but it may just be precousiousness. Thanks for the links btw.

Alice is in the new issue of Empire magazine if you're interester. Nothing new; just a small column and couple of posed pictures, but i thought you might like to know. Amo(sorry this computer doesn't have the right key to sign off properly).

You can see a still of AE in Loosing Gemma at this site: http://www.int.granadamedia.com/sf/international/index.asp it's one of the little pictures that run on a loop, so you have to wait a bit until she comes up. Her hair is all curly again, and to be honest a bit high maintenance-looking for a backpacker. user: Amoammo

Pathe (click on "coming soon" have a poster (featuring AE) on thier site. can you get the trailer to work, cos i can't? maybe it's not meant to be an active feature yet? Amo

Yes, just wached the trailer :D looks like a really good film actually, but Simon Pegg and AE have american accents :S There good ones though X pure evil x 15:58, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Losing Gemma

Sorry, i don't know an airdate. I'll let you know if i find one, and yes it will be on ITV, althogh i sppose it's just conceivable that it would be on one of the subscription channels before it went on ITV1. I'm off to see Rock'n'Roll on Saturday, so i can tell you what that's like too. From what i can tell AE is leaving the cast on Nov5 but they haven't replaced her (perhaps she hasn't decided if she wants to renew her contract...?). and i've heard a rumour that "Starter for ten" will premiere in London on 6th Nov. There are some articles out at the mo to promote SFT, but no dramatic new Alice news. That's the "scoop" as far as i can remember. Actually, there's a radio interview with RS here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/comedy/looseends.shtml Yours, user: amoammo

Hm, the best i've been able to find is that it's scheduled for week 51 (which is in december). Now, in my book, week 51 sounds like it would be very late in the year (even after xmas...) but, if you look at the way the bbc organise thier programming schedle (is iTV the same - i've no idea...) week 51 would be 16-22 Dec. Hope that helps. also, the stuff that i've read seems to suggest that it will go straight to ITV1. Amo
Simon Pegg talks about her in a interview which is linked to view the homepage of this fansite: http://www.peggster.net/ Amo

[edit] Rock'n'Roll

Just got back from seeing it. Hm, she was okay (not brilliant, actually a bit bad in places) but what struck me was how little her character has to do. I suppose i shouldn't have been surprised as she began promoting herself as soon as the rotter's club was broadcast (or possibly even for stage beauty, which was a really tiny character.) Any way, it was interesting to see her as herself during the curtain call. Couldn't get a programme, cos i left my cashcard at home, so point waiting for an autograph. Do they even do those for matinees? Amo

When I saw it Sinead Cusack shone for me. I thought AE was good though. I havve no idea about the matinee thing - I saw an evening performance. X pure evil x 17:50, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Starter for Ten premiere

Just got back - it was nice to see Alice up close, although i'm mystified by the curent fashion for pockets in cocktail dresses/ballgowns (it looked like her dress had split at the side). She was really late as her car didn't show up...and Rufus Sewell dashed in after her...Amo 23:17, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Me too, got my ticket today. Considering all the press that were in the foyer, it's wierd that no interviews with her have surfaced. if you're interested, McAvoy talks about her briefly in an Empire Online interview. BTW in future it's fine if you respond on your talk page.Amo 17:33, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

If i didn't love the book it would be a bit of a nothing. But seeing as i love the book, it sort of papers the cracks. I wouldn't really recommend it casually - i suppose i'd go so far as to say it's actually embaressing - but it got 4 star reviews from a lot of places. AE is good, though. I can totally see that she didn't play her as a bitch, and where the film does suceed in) briefly surpass the book - she has a hand in that. so that's nice. Amo 23:25, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] LG

there's a new (poor quality) still here: http://www.jonasarmstrong.biz/NEWS.html Amo 11:43, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Oh, and it appears that AE and Rufus Sewell were at the Cardiff Film Festival for Big Nothing: http://www.flickr.com/photos/martyn/301843452/ Amo 11:49, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Rufus won an award yesterday and ,%20' Alice was at the ceremony (that top makes her tummy look like a cushion IMO) - they seem intent on not posing together...Amo 07:58, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

LMAO nice top S Ta for all the Rufus/Alice updates, it all seems rather suspicious to me...X pure evil x 23:08, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

She's on the cover of thier Seven magazine, and there's a big interview. Again, i'm not sure she impressed the interviewer  :) Amo 20:34, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

ALICE IS ON FILM 2006 ON BBC1 NOW! If you're interested...(she should be on the whole night)Amo 22:55, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

So, Alice was on TV - i got excited... Here are some links for you, should you be in the mood to peruse: one, two, three, four, five, six.

Also, Rafe Spall did a new radio play (coincidentally a Nunn/Stoppard production, costarring the girl who took over AE's part in R'n'R), which you should still be able to listen to here. Amo 04:21, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sunday Times Magazine

Alice was in a rather lacklustre feature on hot acting talent in today's Sunday Times mag. It mentions that she's about to go (back) to the US, to promote SFT, and that she'll appearing on Broadway this year in the trnsfer of Rock 'n' Roll (she must be furious, if she was hoping for leading film roles...!). Amo 00:33, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

i still don't have a scanner, but Absolutley Sophia Myles have scanned in a pic that features Alice and it's online here. She also attended the LA premiere of SFT yesterday: check out the pics.Amo 05:58, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AE in New York

She attended the Music and Lyrics premiere. Seriously, there are pictures all over the freakin' place - I'm not kidding. Again, the outfit is unflattering, but at least you can't see her underwear. I guess this means the NY SFT premiere must be soon. Hurrah. Amo 12:18, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

The NYC premiere: pics. Can't believe McAvoy isn't there. Isn't he meant to be prepping a movie in NYC anyway? Pretty amazing that Tom Hanks is going to so mmuch effort for the film...Amo 12:34, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
