Carmen X, Rikkeh Suhtn |
The band X27 was founded in 2000 in the basement of a nineteenth-century machine-shop on the southern bank of a sewer canal. They are known for their intense live shows and catchy stripped-down noisy punk rock. X27 is the lovely Carmen X and Rikkeh Suhtn (formerly of Duotron).
The name comes the film Dishonored, where Marlene Dietrich plays Agent X27 who hides code in her music. It is based on the real life character Mata Hari.
The musicians who have played in X27 include Oran Canfield (Child Abuse, Dig that body up it's alive, Caroliner), Sean Greathead (Nights), Massey, and Terry Klawth (Mary Prankster, Jodie Foster's Army, Mighty Sphincter).
