X20XEV

The X20XEV is a General Motors engine. It is a 1998cc (2.0L) 16 valve, DOHC inline 4 cylinder engine producing 100kw (136PS) [1]. It replaced the C20XE engine and was labelled by General Motors as an 'Ecotec'.

The break down of the engine name [2] is as follows:
X - Exhaust Emissions Level: 94/12/EC, stage 2
20 - 2.0L
X - Compression Ratio - 10.0-11.5:1
E - Mixture System - Injection
V - Specific Version - Volume Model

The X20XEV engine featured in many General Motors vehicles, was frequently used in Opel Omega B, used in several models of the Opel Vectra B and the Opel Calibra.
