Albatross

  Royal

      Albert M 2004-09-13 Albert is a mature albatross with a wing span of about 3 metres. He was observed diving for fish off the coast of Kapiti Island.

      Ross M 2005-06-13 Ross is still immature, with a wingspan of about 90cm. He was observed gliding off the cliffs in the north of Kapiti Island.

  Brown Kiwi

      Dan M 2002-06-29 Dan has a burrow at the base of a large tree and was observed replacing twigs and foliage that covered the entrance, before leaving to forage for the night.

  Little Brown Kiwi

       Anna F 2001-03-22 Anna was observed at night foraging for insects not far from her burrow.
