Wyoming Valley West School District

The Wyoming Valley West School District is a school district in the Wyoming Valley, Pennsylvania. It conisists of the Wyoming Valley West Senior High School, the Wyoming Valley West Middle School, and seven elementary schools: Chester Street, Dana Street, Pringle, State Street, Schuyler Avenue, Third Avenue, and Main Street. Wyoming Valley West consists of nine boroughs: Courtdale, Edwardsville, Forty Fort, Larksville, Luzerne, Plymouth, Pringle, Kingston, and Swoyersville. The nickname for Wyoming Valley West is the Spartans. Dr. Michael Garzella currently serves as the school's superintendent. Following the 2005 season, George Curry, the winningest football coach in Pennsylvania state history, left Berwick fame to become the head football coach of the Spartans.
