WYNY

WYNY is the a callsign that currently occupies a broadcast station in the Gainesville, Florida area, but is far more recognized for its several forays in the New York City radio market, largely with the last (several) country music station(s) in that market.
- The current station, licenced to Cross City, Florida, is a talk radio station at 1240 kHz owned by Pamal Broadcasting.
- The New York City stations, the path of the calls having gone as such:
- 97.1 MHz from 1977 until 1988, picking up country music in 1987
- 103.5 MHz from 1988 until 1996, the transplanted 97.1 format
- 107.1 MHz (Briarcliff Manor) from 1998 to 2003, in which an existing country station added the calls as a tribute and kept the calls through a failed Spanish language format
