[edit] What is Wynnewood?
As far as I can tell it is a subdivision. Check out its Google Map. If I were sure of what it was I would categorize it. --DCrazy talk/contrib 19:29, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Wynnewood is a town
Wynnewood is much more than a subdivision; it is a town, part of Lower Merion Township. It is one of the towns along the "Main Line" near Phila; among the other towns are Narberth (a borough), Ardmore, Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Villanova, Radnor, Paoli, Berwyn, Malvern. The R5 train line is what gave the area the name "Main Line"; it is called the R5 train line now, but it used to be called just the "main line" of the RR.

- If you go onto old Manoa Road, near Howards, (on Old Manoa between Haverford Rd & Rock Glen Rd.), you will see a sign indicating that Wynnewood is a village. Zenosparadox 01:20, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

No You really have the wrong idea; you are off the mark completly. Wynnewood is absolutely not a subdivision. In fact, there is no tract housing and no development feel on the Mainline. Wynnewood is very old town; it is very very common to see houses 80, 100, 150 years old. Wynnewood has churches and schools with in its borders. It is not simply an artificail subdivision created by a developer.
[edit] Only a zip code
Wynnewood is a little less than a town yet a little more than a subdivison. It is a zipcode.
[edit] Kobe in Wynnewood?
The only source I can find has him living in Ardmore during high school. But, of course, that source has other innacuracies which lead me to doubt its helpfulness. Can anyone confirm this? Dslawe 14:19, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- He did not live in Ardmore during high school. Only his high school was in Ardmore. The Bryant family lived on Remington Road between Haverford and Lancaster. Definitely Wynnewood. Gershonw 14:30, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Ah, well I knew it must have been somewhere around here. Dslawe 14:48, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Youth in Wynnewood
It may be "true" that some youths in Wynnewood seek some sort of urban credibility as do suburban youths throughout the country. My point in deleting this was that it does not really add anything to an article about Wynnewood. It is a non-factual sociological statement that may or may not be accurate as to all youths in Wynnewood. Furthermore, a statement that there are "few" similarities between Inglewood and Wynnewood is just silly. If it's true, listing local slang for the neighborhood may be appropriate, however, the rest of the paragraph is simply not very useful. Dslawe 14:46, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
