Wymondham, Leicestershire

Wymondham is a village in the district of Melton in Leicestershire, England. It is part of a civil parish which covers the nearby hamlet of Edmondthorpe also. The parish has a population of about 600. It is close to the county borders with Lincolnshire and with Rutland, nearby places being Garthorpe, Teigh (in Rutland) and South Witham (in Lincolnshire). The village is the site of a windmill. A disused railway line runs through the village - the Edmondthorpe and Wymondham railway station closed to passengers in 1959. [1]
