WVUT is a television station and member of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), located in Vincennes, Indiana. It operates on analog channel 22 and is located at Vincennes University. The station's signal covers much of the Wabash Valley of southwestern Indiana and southeastern Illinois.
The station first signed on in 1967, assuming the dormant license of defunct station WRAY-TV, channel 52 (now home to WVUT's digital signal), in Princeton, Indiana. It began as a partially educational independent station and affiliated with the proto-PBS network National Educational Television (NET). It joined PBS when the national network switched from NET to PBS in 1970.
The station also features local programming, including a student-produced newscast that airs during the school semesters at VU.
