WVUM, the voice of the University of Miami, is the college radio station for the University of Miami. Broadcasting on a frequency of 90.5 MHz from Coral Gables, Florida. The Station has been in operation since 1967, providing South Florida with an alternative to commercial radio. WVUM aims to expose its listeners to a variety of music ignored by other stations in the area. The station is often described as Indie or Alternative, however, the station is known for playing a large variety of music of different genres. WVUM also broadcasts coverage of all major University of Miami sporting events.

WVUM can be heard for free over the internet and the webite also features playlists and a schedule.

Lexie Kaye began her career in radio working for WVUM as a member of the advisory board while a student at the University of Miami in 1987.

Throughout the years many celebrities and cartoon characters have recorded custom drops for the station including Stimpy (of Ren and Stimpy), Home Star Runner characters, Chris Matthews, and The Donnas.
