WVUD is a commerical free, student-run, radio station located in the Perkins student center at the University of Delaware. WVUD broadcasts with a power of 1,000 watts 24 hours a day on 91.3 FM. The transmitting antenna is located on the top of the Christiana East Tower residence building. The station is known for playing a very wide variety of different genres of music, a majority of the songs that WVUD broadcasts are rarely heard on other radio stations. The explanation for this is that there are very few restrictions on what can be played. Generally, any song may be played as long as profanity is non-existant and the song does not have too politcal a standing.
