WVJW is a listener supported commercial-free FM radio station affiliated with Pacifica Radio serving the Wheeling radio market. The station began transmissions at 3:00pm local time on January 3rd, 2002.
The station was originally constructed to serve the area's Jewish community, however due to lack of funding and support the station affiliated with Pacifica Radio in May 2002 and adopted a general public radio style schedule. As of 2007, in addition to Pacifica programming the station airs an Alternative Music format featuring independent artists.
