Wuv Luv
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wuv Luvs were an interactive robotic toy manufactured by Trendmasters. They consisted of a small furry 'mother' Wuv Luv and a smaller 'baby' critter known as a Wu. They came in a variety of vivid colours, including purple, turquoise and orange, and had large eyes, exaggerated eyelashes and four feet clustered around their base. On top of their heads is an antenna containing a light which flashes when they talk. After thirty minutes of playing with a Wuv Luv, the creature would go into a "birthing" stage in which a pouch in its front would open up and an egg would pop out. The mother then chooses one of sixty names for her baby. Mother and baby are able to communicate and sing songs, such as the ABC Song and Itsy Bitsy Spider, together via infrared signals (the mother's receptors being the antennae atop her head; the baby's being internal.) Wuv Luvs speak in baby-like language using phrases such as "wuvvy hungry", and "huggle-snuggle".
Included with each Wuv Luv were a birth certificate, brush, heart-shaped key (necessary for "re-birthing"), and flower shaped num nums (food). Some Wuv Luvs included twins.
