WUSM is a 3,000-watt public radio station in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, owned and operated by The University of Southern Mississippi.

Unlike other public radio stations in the state, WUSM offers a large variety of different programs, avoiding one format instead to focus on fulfilling the listening needs of its listeners by providing music that does not readily appear in the area. WUSM's diverse programming includes The Sound of Young America.
