[edit] Welcome, please join discussion

Wurzel, welcome to Wikipedia. Your suggestion to change the style of representing the imaginary unit from italic to non-italic is generating some discussion, see Talk:Complex number#The non-italic writing style of the imaginary unit. Please join the discussion, and in the meantime, please stop changing italic i to non-italic untill we reach a consensus. Thanks. Paul August June 28, 2005 14:17 (UTC)

I would second that (this is about your changes to Euler's formula). Oleg Alexandrov 28 June 2005 15:10 (UTC)
I also second that (third that?). Thanks. Dmharvey Image:User_dmharvey_sig.png Talk 28 June 2005 16:23 (UTC)

[edit] Reverting to italic i for the the imaginary unit

Hi Wurzel. While there may be some merit to using an upright i to represent the imaginary unit, it has been agreed, (see Talk:Complex number) that for the time being, we will continue to use the itlaic i to represent the imaginary unit. If you like, please add to the discussion there. Thanks. Paul August June 30, 2005 17:03 (UTC)
