Wunderwaffe
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wunderwaffen is German for "wonder weapons", and was a term assigned during World War II by the Nazi propaganda ministry to a few revolutionary "superweapons". Because these weapons did not always fulfill their promised capabilities, a slang abbreviation of the term appeared in German society as a bit of ridicule: Wuwa, pronounced "voo-vah".
Some of the wunderwaffen have been incorrectly associated with the Vergeltungswaffen.
