WUGA FM 91.7 is the Georgia Public Broadcasting radio station serving Athens and the much of the northeast part of Georgia. The broadcast studio, from which some local programming originates, is located on the University of Georgia campus. The main station transmitter and radio antenna are located east of Athens. Since 1993, broadcast translator W250AC at 97.9 is also located on the UGA campus.

UGA also has a student radio station, WUOG FM 90.5.
