[edit] Call letter meaning

According to the November 29, 2006, edit, the editor claims WTXL is a variation of WXLT because of its ownership by Calkins Media, which also owns the Sarasota station WWSB (the former WXLT). The call letters WTXL have been used since 1983, long before Calkins bought WTXL and three years before Calkins bought Sarasota's WXLT (WWSB). The editor's claim of WTXL's meaning needs to be verified. Tampa94Tallahassee03 16:25, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Channel Blocking

This station's website is non-existant. I hope someone that works for the station reads this. I live in Valdosta, GA and have MediaComm cable. WXTL blocks WSB (another ABC affiliate) on MediaComm when WXTL thinks the same show is being broadcast. Tonight at 8 was Wife Swap on WXTL, at 8 on WSB was a PrimeTime news special by WSB but it was blocked. WXTL - Do better research when you block programs. They aren't always exactly like yours. Thank you. --Mjrmtg 01:08, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

The Station Actually has a website, and the call letters are WTXL. Maybe you should do some research yourself. http://WTXL.tv or http://wtxl.com

The station didn't have a site when he posted. Maybe you should do some research yourself. --CFIF 11:12, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
