WSVH is a 100,000 watt radio station broadcasting out of Savannah, Georgia at 91.1 FM. The station's signal is repeated by WWIO-FM (88.9 FM) in Brunswick, Georgia and during the daytime on WWIO-AM (1190 AM) in St. Marys, Georgia. Together, the three stations serve the entire Georgia coastline. Their signals can be heard from Beaufort, South Carolina to Jacksonville, Florida. The station is an affiliate of the Georgia Public Broadcasting radio network. The station is unique as it is the only member of the GPB Radio network to have local announcers and underwriting during the day.

On April 20, 1981, the station signed on the air, the first song being played on the station at 6 am was Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man. The station was independently run until 1988 when it joined the state-wide public radio network called Peach State Public Radio. In the early 1990's, programming was greatly improved with the addition of WWIO AM and FM in extreme Southeast Georgia and an overnight classical music format. In 1997, the station moved its studio from downtown to the Skidaway Institute Of Oceanography on Skidaway Island just south of Savannah.

The station plays mostly Classical music, Jazz, and news from National Public Radio. This programming is in contrast to WJWJ 89.9, a Beaufort, South Carolina-based NPR station that is primarily news and talk formatted.

Content Correction: WSVH is not the only GPB network station with daytime local announcers and underwriting. WUGA, Athens, GA, does, as well, and actually features more local programming.
