[edit] History
WSKW went on the air March 17,1956 as WGHM AM 1150, changing call letters to WQMR in the late 1970's and then changing dial positions to AM 1160 in 1988, with 10,000 watts of power. At the time it was a country music formatted station, changing to sports talk in the mid 1990s. Currently it airs ESPN Radio, and local sports. It was also affilaited for a time with Sporting News Radio, then known as "One on One Sports". For a time in the late 1990's it was simulcasted on co-owned WHQO (now WFMX).
